For us, big mountain freeriding means scouring the hardest terrain and discovering new trails, regardless of country or continent. The most beautiful and far-flung corners of the earth don't have chairlifts or shuttle services! It's just us and our bikes. 200 mm travel, 37 lb weight and a 75° seat angle in the uphill position - this is what we need to explore these regions.
Alongside the patented swingarm concept the Special Agent fork is at the heart of the new suspension system. The bolt on clamp of the 35mm thru-axle achieves incredible rigidity and can be disassembled in seconds.
By combining a coil spring with twin-chamber air suspension, 200mm of suspension travel with unbelievable reserves are available. Damping is by an oil cartridge system. The first test reports awarded the SpecialAgent highest marks.*
A new air shock was developed especially for the Ironwood. Using an additional decompression air chamber the suspensions rate of progression can be individually adjusted.
