This all-DT Swiss wheel set is very light, extremely smooth, and looks beautiful. The DT Swiss 4.2® disc rim is a favorite of ours to work with; its great strength responds predictably to high levels of equal tension. Additionally, the rim quality itself lends for super precise finishing, sometimes down to sub ½ of 1/10th of a millimeter. From a wheel builder’s viewpoint, this level of quality is as good as it gets. These wheels, like all of our wheels, are built by hand to an exacting level.

This wheel set is built using ultra light, super strong DT Swiss 4.2® Disc rims laced three cross to DT Swiss 370® disc hubs via black DT Swiss Competition® double butted spokes and alloy nipples. These hubs are light weight, tough, and spin smoothly for a seemingly endless time thanks to the superb sealed cartridge bearings. The spoke holes are also chamfered, to more evenly support the spoke head against the flange.

Taking advantage of the DT Swiss® 370 ISO disc hubs allows us to build a wheel set that is light weight but still compatible with standard 6 bolt disc rotors. The DT 4.2® disc rim favors pure XC riding, but accepts up to a 2.3” tire, so you will be able to use many of your favorite XC or AM (all mountain) tires. With this wheel set you must use 6 bolt disc rotors/disc brakes, this wheel set is not compatible with v-brakes. This set comes with light weight DT Swiss® quick release levers, includes rim tape, is Shimano 8/9 speed compatible, and is designed specifically and only for bicycles equipped with disc brakes.
